Copenhagen, Denmark, July 2014

Was super lucky to be rostered the longest ever Copenhagen flight. And coincidentally, it was my first ever longest flight (never get rostered 4-sector before).

Touched down to a very windy and cooling weather in Copenhagen. For this time, we stayed in Bella Sky Hotel. The room was almost IKEA-style concept, simplistic and just the way I like it.

I like the way that a double sized bed has 2 single blankets instead of one. I will always roll the blanket around me like a sardine wrapper when I sleep. Hahaha.

Was thankful to meet a very good set of crew and co-pilots and out we went! Our hotel view from the subway station:

Our first stop: Kongens Nytorv
It's a public square in Copenhagen.. from there we walked to Nyhavn (which means New Harbour). It 's lined by brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century town houses and bars, cafes and restaurants. Even though it was a weekday, we saw a lot of people chilling at the bars and cafes, either chilling with a beer in hand or just stoning.

Pistachio + Chocolate Icecream

Kebabs for lunch-dinner:

Next we went to Church of Our Savior, a baroque church which is most famous for its corkscrew spire with an external winding staircase that can be climbed to the top. The entrance fee is 40DKK. I have fear of heights so I just clinged to the centre of the tower all the time. >< But it shows a 360 degree view of Copenhagen, definitely a thumbs up to go!

From the church, its a short walk to Copenhagen's own red light district Christiania. Tourists are welcome there, but soft drugs are sold there as well. Thus, photo taking is forbidden there.

Afterwards we chilled at a cafe with an authentic Copenhagen beer (Calsberg!) and ended up with another Frankfurter dog (Bacon dog). Basically had this for 4 days straight. ><

The sun sets very late at night (at 2130h) over here, so even though its 1830h it looks like its 1500h.

And so.... next day we went to Tivoli Gardens! Who doesn't like theme parks? Basically I took all the not-for-the-faint-hearted rides until I felt nauseous. Hahahahhaa. I am seriously damn weak.

Here's the famous star flyer. The machine malfunctioned for about 5 mins, while we were on the way down. Literally held my colleague and both of us screamed for 5 mins. Hahahah

Supposed to go to Sweden the next day, but ughh, things happened and in the end we just slacked in ours rooms.

Here's ending off with a group photo!
