2012 - Taiwan Day 4 (23rd June 2012)

I'm back from my second trip to Taiwan this year! Tons to blog about because we went to explore new places and food! But I gotta finish blogging about last year's Taiwan trip first. Haha.

Here's the link for Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 again. Moving on to Day 4 of the Taiwan journey….

Side note: we saw ultraman outdoor promo at ximending -.-

After breakfast, we set off for Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. To get there, just take the mrt, specifically the blue line towards Kunyang (昆陽) direction and stop at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station. Just some facts about Sun Yat-sen that I quoted from the ever-knowing Wikipedia -

"Sun Yat-sen (12 November 1866 – 12 March 1925) was a Chinese revolutionary, first president and founding father of the Republic of China ("Nationalist China"). As the foremost pioneer of Republic of China, Sun is referred to as the "Father of the Nation" in the Republic of China (ROC), and the "forerunner of democratic revolution" in the People's Republic of China. He was also the first leader of famous political party Kuomintang (KMT)." (2013, Wikipedia).

Also, do catch their marching parade that takes place in the main hall every hour, which features the honor guards changing "shift".

Then we walked to Taipei 101. We thought it was near, because we could see the building outside of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. But it was not near at all! At least a 10-15 mins walk away….

Didn't took the ride up the 101 building because it's not really worth my money…

By then, it's around 12pm, so we took the train to Wufenpu! To get there, simply board the mrt and take to Houshanpi station. Take Exit Number 1, and walk north along Jhongpo N. Road to the intersection of Jhongpo N. Road and Yongji Road. Wufenpu is on the left and front. Do take note that Wufenpu is only opened to wholesalers every Monday and opens from 12.30pm to 12midnight. So be sure not to get there too early…

The place is super big, lots of small alleys in between. So be sure to plan your routes early to complete the whole course in a day! Remember to always bargain the prices (but not those that are already NTD$100-$200). The sellers are quite reasonable and friendly (:
Had our lunch over there also.

And this is my favourite shop! Sells good quality pants at a reasonable price. Remember to bargain your way through to get a good price~! Typically, for girls, your apparel should not cost more than NTD$350, while for guys it should not be more than NTD$680. If you're lucky, you can get awesome clothes on their NTD$100-200 racks (:

Have fun shopping!
